| I remember that Friday nite game like it was yesterday. All week long at school at Rohanen, the mood was of confidence and anticipation.The team was praticed and ready.The gorgeous cheerleaders at Rohanen had done their job all week. We were pumped. The game kick-off was at 8:oo pm sharp,and the crowd was record breaking. When the "Rockets" saw the "Rebels" enter the field the Rockingham stands went quiet.They knew instantly this was going to be a long nite for the "Mighty Rockets"! The first play of the game was a 75 yard T.D. by the mighty "Rebs". The" Rockets" took over on their own 20 yard line after a superb kick-off when the ball was kicked totally out of the stadium. The "Rockets" fumbled and it was recovered by the "Rebs" on the "Rockets" 1 yard line. Another score for the "Rebs" on the very next play and the game was essentially over. The "Rockets" did finally score on the last play of the game but it was really a "Rebel" game all the way with a final score of 48 to 6.
