| The top photo is Everybody's Garage which is attached to the fish market in your photo of E. Washington Street. It was later known as the Thrower Building/Currie's Sporting Goods/ Bellamy Electric. Next to it is the Steele Building housing Gordon-Land Furniture; later it was Stelen's, then Thompson Furniture. Dr. James M. Ledbetter's office was in the top right during the period of the photo. The next building is the Manufacturer's Building. The second photo is H.P. Eiferd McCormick-Deering Farm Machinery. I believe that this was later Scarborough's Toy Store located on W. Washington Street and was razed during urban renewal. |
