Everybody's Garage

The top photo is Everybody's Garage which is
attached to the fish market in your photo of
E. Washington Street.  It was later known
as the Thrower Building/Currie's Sporting
Goods/ Bellamy Electric.  Next to it is the
Steele Building housing Gordon-Land
Furniture; later it was Stelen's, then
Thompson Furniture.   Dr. James M.
Ledbetter's office was in the top right
during the period of the photo.  The next
building is the Manufacturer's Building.

The second photo is H.P. Eiferd
McCormick-Deering Farm Machinery.  I
believe that this was later Scarborough's
Toy Store located on W. Washington Street
and was razed during urban renewal.
