Do You Remember These
Childhood Smells?
I Remember...Do You?....The sweet smell
of honeysuckle vines and flowers.....

The smell of leaves and yard debris
burning in the backyard.....

The smell of a fresh cut cedar tree at that
special time of the year....

The smell of fresh peaches that had just
been picked off the tree....

The unique smell that came from the
chimney when a fireplace was blazing....

The smell of fresh mowed grass that had
just been cut....

The smell of the sap running out of a pine
tree....

The smell of a sawdust pile in the woods....

The smell of freshly cut lumber....

The smell when you would walk by Mr
Postons' yard....

The smell that would come when you
opened that  jar of homemade grape wine
that had been fermenting....

The smell of hay gathered in the hayloft....

The smell of rain in the air....

The smell of Cherry Blend pipe tobacco
your grandfather would smoke....

The smell of a fresh cut watermelon....

The smell of eggs and bacon cooked on an
open fire....

The smell that would come from sitting
around a campfire after eating a pot of
pork n' beans....

The smell of a shotgun shell after being
fired....

The smell of smoke coming from an old
wood stove in the middle of the house....

The smell of a cedar chest....

The smell of blood after being in a fight
and receiving a bloody nose....

The smell of blackberry cobbler Mom
would cook after we picked the
blackberries....

The smell of wood being cut for the
fireplace....

The smell when you would walk through
the old Locker Plant in Rockingham....

The smell of too much chlorine in the Ed
Tull Memorial Swimming Pool in
Rockingham....

The smell of rabbit tobacco being smoked
in a homemade cigarette....

The smell and burning sensation from
smoking Indian cigars....

The smell of hushpuppies being cooked at
the Chicken Box in East Rockingham....

The smell and taste of a fresh cooked
cheeseburger from Seagos....

The smell of burned rubber from tires....

The smell of gasoline at the pumps....

The smell of all that great food at the
church homecomings....

The smell of fish being cooked at the
Brown Derby....
