07.07.06 .. While I was recuperating from my recent surgery, my wife and I
were looking through some old photos of years gone by. Lo and behold - we
found the photos below from our 1966 Rockingham High School Graduating
Class 10 Year Reunion in 1976. (Correction::: This is actually our 20 year
reunion - classmate Cathy (Stutts) Portaro was so kind to send me this and
also identify all the people in the photo, which I could not do. Thanks Cathy
for your generosity in sending me these corrections. Cathy is quoted here:
"It was held on May 31, 1986 at Richmond Pines Country Club (info comes
from photo in the Richmond County Daily Journal, Thursday, June 26, 1986
edition, page 9)--my mom was good at saving newspaper clippings." And, also,
Buck Blakley's daughter, Stephanie (Blakley) Dawkins, emailed me on 07.22.06
thinking her dad was in this photo but I mistakenly told her he was not.
Stephanie, I apologize and am sorry for that error. 08.23.06)
We plan to attend our 40th Year Reunion in September of this year, 2006 and
hopefully will have some more photos to add afterwards. I hope you enjoy
these.
