The photo below was sent to me by Paul Warnock. See if you can recognize
any teachers you may remember. I remember Mrs Crouch, Mrs Deberry,
the librarian, Mrs Dabbs, my first grade teacher, Mrs Haywood, my 4th
grade teacher, Mrs Kelly, the music teacher, Mrs Theo Smith, Mrs
Nicholson, Mr Huneycutt, Supt of Public Instruction Richmond County, and
his wife Ida C Huneycutt, whom taught 5th grade and was Pauls teacher.
Mr and Mrs Huneycutt later wrote "A Brief History of Rockingham",
contained in the Scrapbook section of this website. Ms Bessie Terry was
the Principal - her last year. Paul says only his first grade teacher was
missing from this photo.
