| 1900s - Rockingham Graded School |
| The old Rockingham Graded School (which was used as an elementary school and high school over time) stood at the corner of Washington and Lawrence Streets. Classrooms and an auditorium were added to the front of the building after the photograph was made. (See this link: 1920RhamGradedSchool).According to info provided by Harry West, this building was originally to be called the Richmond Academy. (The date of this photo is unknown - I am just guessing it was sometime in the late 1800s or early 1900s.) |
