I saw the picture of the old water tank. Do you know the story of the tank? Back in the 50s Tobe Sheppard got drunk and climbed the tank and sobered up and got scared and the fire department had to get him down. Well, when I was in Viet Nam I got a newspaper from home and it said that history had repeated itself - that Tobe Sheppard had climbed the tank and sobered up and the fire department had to get him down again. That was in 1970. Is Curtis Pate or his brother still living? Which one did you work with? (I worked with Frank Pate, his brother but don't know if either are still alive.) Many knew me by Butch Coble. I drove a 1966 Mustang - gray 2+2. I dated Carol Coleman a time or two but we broke up and she married Denny Coble. No kin. My stepdad was a Coble and everyone called me Butch Coble. Now everyone calls me Les.The Mustang was a fastback. (I had emailed Les back inquiring if the Mustang was a fastback because I remembered it.) Well, got to go - happy trails. Les |
