My name is Elaine Walters Russell. I have resided in Melbourne, Florida for the past 42 years. I work for the Titan Corporation, Systems and Imagery Division (which will soon be merged with Lockheed Martin. I began work there in 1976, which at that time was DBA Systems and became Titan Corporation in 1998. I attended and graduated from Rohanen High School in 1960. The school colors then were blue and gold. I have a brother who also attended Rohanen and would have been in the first graduating class but decided he needed to quit school and get a job. He told me the story of the first football team. He said they had a meeting and were tasked with donating 25 cents each to raise money to buy uniforms and they voted on the colors to be blue jerseys and gold pants. This is how blue and gold became the school colors. Those were the "good ole days." Regards, Elaine Russell |
