Subject: Remembering downtown

Have you ever sat around with your friends and
tried to remember as much as you could about
downtown in the 50's? Remember the tiny little
police station under the big oaks on the square?
Rose's, Rockingham Drug store, Penny's,
Wood's. There is so much to remember. At my
age my thoughts come and go, so that is what I
can think of at this minute. Its fun to talk to
others and see what they remember and then it
comes back to you.
I don't miss the "good old days", but I do have
a lot of fond memories of them.
We lived in the country, so it was always a real
treat for me to get to "go to town".
