Subject: 1972 Peachtree Festival

I VERY vaguely remember this concert! I've been searching all over the
internet trying to find out more information about it. I've tried for
years to get my dusty old brain to remember more about it, but can only
grasp a few pictures in my mind. I remember that when 3 Dog Night
played it seemed that most of the people there (all WAY too hip at that
point in time) were there for the hardcore rockers and couldn't be
bothered with 3 Dog Night, a lame Vegas act. LOL!
I also remember that Cactus had just formed and ROCKED the place out!
Wow! They DID know how to kick butt! I'd forgotten all about Bertha,
but after seeing them listed on various sites as having performed there,
I CAN remember them too. Also, Rare Earth did a pretty decent set
too, if I remember correctly (and that's tough too, considering I was 20
at the time and was no doubt under some kind of mind-altering influence).
I'd also forgotten about Poco, Goose Creek, Fleetwood Mac, and
probably a lot of others. Wow!! But I most definitely remember Alice
Cooper! - man oh man was THAT ever a trip! I can see him in my mind,
clear as day, cavorting about the stage, playing with his snake, getting
beheaded!!
Man what I wouldn't give to get back to that time and space once again.
