Hi Joel:
My name is Glenn Marsh from Opelika, Alabama. Somehow I stumbled
across your site and decided to look around. Lots of Family and local
photo history there. Guess it got my interest because my grandchildren
live on Ellerbe Grove Church Road in Rockingham. And I agree with your
take on Hollywood and tv shows these days. (Glenn is referring to I Miss
The Old TV Shows, an article contained in My Memories) A big portion
of the entertainment diet is nothing but pure trash.
It is also refreshing to see that I am not the only conservative around
these days. Our numbers seem to be growing smaller as time passes.
Just remember the old saying... If you put a frog into hot water
immediately, he will jump out.. but if you put him in cold water and
gradually raise the heat you will boil his buns. And that is exactly what
the evil minions are doing. Little by little they are making good things
seem evil and evil things seem good.. ( hmmm. where have I read that
before???) . That is the way I see it with Hollywood.... a gradual
increase of things that we may not like gradually decreases our immunity
to what it really is. Hang in there and have yourself a great rest of
your natural life.
Again, very nice site. I sure did enjoy seeing photos of things that were
in existance while I was growing up in the 50's Small East Alabama town
of LaFayette.
